ADMINISTRATION

The affairs of the samajam shall be managed as stipulated in the memorandum, articles of association, bye-laws and rules. The managing committee consists of president (1), vice presidents (5), trustees (4), honorary secretary (1), assistant secretary (1), treasurer (1)and directors (17).

The day to day affairs of the samajam shall be managed by the honorary secretary and he shall have the power to incur such expenditure as may be necessary to attain the objects of the samajam. The honorary secretary shall be responsible to implement the decisions of the managing committee.

The generous help from the well wishers, and their concern for the poor, orphans and down trodden gradually increased the number of poor feeding on all days. Chennapuri Annadana Samajam has been functioning with the following.

The liberal endowment by the generous hearted patrons over the years has taken the Samajam to its present position of managing a couple of orphanages, such as Destitute Children Home, Harijan Welfare Boys Hostel under social welfare, Social Defence Department of Government of Tamil Nadu, a higher secondary school, a primary school with Government aid and a Industrial Technical School jointly with Rotary Club of Madras Marine.

1. Feeding outsiders about 50 aged, poor and the infirm on a daily basis

2. Maintaining an orphanage in the main premises with free boarding, lodging, primary school for free Education and clothing and associated amenities for about 117 Destitute Children Government Aid.

3. The branch orphanage with free boarding, lodging, Higher Secondary students for free Education, clothing and associated amenities is a newfound home to about 200 poor boys with Government Aid.

4. An Industrial Technical School recognized by Government of Tamil Nadu, imparting Refrigeration and Air Conditioning course, 35 to 40 students for those who could not afford to go in for Higher Studies. The course is free of cost with one year duration.

5. The “Chennapuri Annadana Samajam Dr.P.Venkataramana Rao Higher Secondary school” at Raja Annamalai Puram, Chennai-600028 is administered by the Samajam with government aid.

6. The “Chennapuri Annadana Samajam E.N.V.Sangam Primary School” at Park Town, Chennai-600003 is administered by the Samajam with government aid.

7. The “Chennapuri Annadana Samajam’s Industrial Technical School” at No.2, Sundaram Salai, Raja Annamalaipuram, Chennai-600028 managed by the Samajam in association with Rotary club of Madras Marina, is committed to train students in areas such as house electrical & plumbing, DTP, Air conditioning & Refrigeration, basic system knowledge and Computer Hardware Maintenance with free of cost.

8. The affairs of the Samajam shall be managed by a Managing Committee of 30 Directors including one President, three Vice President, Four Trustees, the Honorary secretary, the Assistant Secretary, the Treasurer and nineteen Directors.

9. The day to day affairs of the Samajam shall be managed by the HONORARY SECRETARY, who is the chief executive to sue and to be sued.

10. We have been organizing once in a year or two, and educational, cultural and Historical excursion/tour to various places in Tamil Nadu and nearby states.

11. Philanthropic minded persons provided clothing, notebooks, nutritious meal powder and with eligible government aid, we were able to run our organization with the limited facilities and amenities. Many other corporate companies under CSR do come for an help to our resources as well as to help the downtrodden Boys in educational activities by providing various needs as and when required.

12. The incredible journey of our Samajam should keep going forever and ever with character building activities besides uplifting the standard of life of the poor and the destitute as a noble cause.

13. Our Samajam’s social, charitable and educational activities are to be carried without any objection, interference and interruption from any quarters as it will facilitate smooth functioning of our Institution in servicing the needy in our Society
