Considering the health of the students, the Chennai Municipal Corporation employees came and conducted a dental check-up and an eye check-up through the Lions Club in the school and conducted a malaria test.
On 31st August 2009, A science exhibition was held in our school and students presented their works to the party to bring out their scientific abilities. On 1st March 2010, enjoyed going on an educational tour to Pondicherry.
The science exhibition held on behalf of PeriyameduSaragam on 11th January 2012 was organized by the Assembly Speaker of the day Mr. Jayakumar Director of School Education Mr. Shankar our Principal Education Officer Smt. Sivakamasundari came and inaugurated and visited the science exhibition.
Mr. S. Palaniswamy, Head Master of P. S. Higher Secondary School attended the Ilakkiya Mandra Vizha of our School and He delivered a literary discourse.
On 7th December 2011, Awareness on road safety was given by Mrs. Karpagam Subramaniam, Dr. Vijay Ganapathy and Mrs. Sudha Krishnan, Mrs. Usha Bhaskaran with presentation and discussion with audio visuals.
We took the students on a trip to Yelagiri hill for 2 days on 01-03-2014 and 02-03-2014.

Students took the Child Labor Abolition Day pledge in the school Prayer meeting. A Rain Water Harvesting exhibition was held and 8th standard student S. Vijay, went and participated in the exhibition held at CSI Mohanan Higher Secondary School along with the secondary teacher.
Health Minister Mr. Vijaya Baskar organized a medical camp in our school premises for the flood affected people and our school students. Our students were taken to Kodaikanal as an educational tour for 4 days..
On account of Teachers Day a Debate competition conducted between students and Teachers. Our students were taken to tour to Kanyakumari, Padmanabapuram, Nagarkovil and Thirusenthoor for 4 days.
We took our students to VGP Golden Patch in August. In September, students were given eye tests and glasses.
In February, Students were taken on an educational tour to Madurai, Vaigai Dam, Kallanai and Thanjavur. Nandini conducted a dental camp.
One day training class of actor Thamu by LEAD INDIA conducted to remove the fear of the students, free Thirukkural class by Thirukkural Peravai, Singing and Yoga classes by “Sai Samathi” and Basic Maths and English classes by Inner Wheel of Madras.
Handicrafts made by the students were displayed at the event SWACHH PAKHWADA event.
Thirty minutes of school work time each day are used for forum activities. The works of our school students are collected and selected every week and displayed under the title “Manava Brammakal”.
We practiced Yoga, conducted Online Classes, played Indoor Games like Carrom, Chess, etc. and Verified by DCPO. Under the Education for All SSA scheme, students are being educated in pedagogy system from class I to III and Students are also educated through Salam Simplified Active Learning System for Class IV and V.
On 16th October In the presence of Mr. Kamalanathan, Former Director of Chennai Radio station, started a free Thirukkural class on behalf of the Adyar Thirukkural Peravai for the 8th year and concluded by conducting a Thirukkural memorization competition for the students on March 29, 2022. Mr. Vairavan, the owner of Kumaran Publishing House and Mr. Krishnachand Sordia, the president of Adyar Thirukkural Peravai, the School Secretary Mr. V. R. Udaya Shankar congratulated them and distributed the prizes.
On 5th January 2022, With Guidelines of the Tamil Nadu State Government and Central Government the First Dose of Covid 19 vaccine was given to the students.
On 13/06/2022, our Chief Minister started the program of Numeracy and Literacy program for Class I to III under the SSA Program. “IllamThediKalvi” is run by Threeolunteers in our School. Dr. Nandhini and Dr. Deepika participated and created awareness among our students through Drug Awareness Programme.
On the occasion of Yoga Day, awareness about yoga was created in the school and competitions were held and prizes were awarded to the students who did yoga well and a science exhibition was held. More than thirty students are taking part in the boating training promised by the Chennai Boat Club out of which eighteen talented students are trained three days a week. Silambam training is provided to the students.
On 27th August 2023 Sunday - 4th South India Level Yoga Championship-2023 was organized by Vina Sri Yoga & Research Centre. Our Children participated in the event and won prizes.
